TOP 50 BEACHES IN NICARAGUA - PACIFIC COAST




Nicaragua's Pacific coast expands 300 kilometers of Coastline with hundreds of beaches.   This video shows you the top 50 beaches and a few extra locations.
 
Below we have also listed the top 50 beaches as shown in the video.

 
1. Ostional Beach.  The town of El Ostional is a small town with no hotels, but popular for day trips.

2. La Flor beach, which is a natural reserve where Olive Ridley turtles come to lay there eggs.

3. Playa el Coco is a more populated town with multiple hotel options and a restaurant.

4. Escameca beach is accessible through a few hotels and developments, great for surfing.

5. Yankee Beach is a more popular surf beach, with public access.

6. Hermosa Beach, where they filmed the TV show Survivor.

7. Remanso Beach is another popular surf beach for beginners, with a variety of restaurants and surf board rentals.

8. San Juan Del Sur, which is the largest on southern Nicaragua's coast and where you can find almost anything.

9. Nacascolo Bay, which is now open to the public, a great day spot to chill and relax.

10. Marsella beach, is a quiet little beach town, with a variety of hotels.

11. Then up to the most popular surf beach in the area, Maderas Beach.

12. Ocotal Beach is accessible by a popular ecolodge

13. Playa Blanca where sailboats in San Juan Del Sur take guests for day trips to swim and snorkel.

14. Guacalito Beach also known as Manzanillo beach, which is now home of a large 5 star resort with an 18 hole golf course.

15. Gigante Bay, which is a small beach town that is growing, and has a bunch of restaurants and hotels.

16. Playa Colorado, located next to the Costa Esmeralda airport and has some of the best surfing in this area, as well as a 9 hole golf course.

17. Playa Jiquilite which has public access and is a another great surf destination.

18. Popoyo Beach, which is lined with a bunch of surf hotels, and restaurants.

19. Popoyo Surf Break, which is the main surf break in this area.

20. Playa Guasacate which is a growing beach town and the most populated in this area.

Quick stop at the Natural Tide Pools, which is a hidden gem.

21. Punta Teonoeste which has a restaurant and a great surf beach.

While we are here, might as well take a look at Surf Ranch Popoyo, currently under construction.

Alright now back to the water, this is Punta Conejo, a great dive spot.

Another quick stop at the new Marina that is under construction, which will be the first marina on the Pacific coast of Nicaragua.

22. Astillero Beach, which is a more populated town, which is paved and great for surfing and fishing.

23. Chacocente which is another Nature Reserve, where the turtles come to lay their eggs.

24. Tupilapa beach, is a small beach town, with a few hotels.

25. Huehuete is a small beach town with a dark sand beach.

26. El Tamarindo Beach, just to the north which you will find the town, La Bocana.

27. Playa Casares is a popular vacation destination with a lot of fishing, and a variety of hotels to choose from.

28. Playa La Boquita, another small beach town, with many hotels and restaurants.

29. Pochomil Beach, which is the most developed beach in this area.

30. Masachapa beach, just to the north.

31. Montelimar Beach, which is home to an all inclusive resort.

32. Playa Marbella, which has a long beach and a few hotels to choose from.

33. Playa San Diego, a popular town for fishing and surfing.

34. Gran Pacifica Beach which is home to the third golf course on the Pacific Coast.

35. El Transito, another great surfing destination.

36. And to another Playa Hermosa,...a small beach town.

37. El Velero Beach is more private but you can access it for the day.  There are hotels and restaurants as well.

38. Miramar beach is a sleepy fishing village, and is a surf hot spot that offers more than just perfect waves.

Then up to Puerto Sandino, where the crude oil ships dock, and also home of some great surf spots.

39. Playa Tesoro which has a cool eco lodge and a resort.

40. Playa Salinas Grandes is a long stretch of beach which is home of salt flats and some great surfing.

41. Lets fly over to the popular surf town of Las Penitas.

42. Poneloya is a more populated and visited beach town by people from the capital city of Managua.

Puerto Corinto is the main shipping port in Nicaragua, for imports and exports.

43. Playa Corinto, which is situated just to the north and is a great place to find restaurants.

44. Maderas Negras is labeled as an island, and offers some great eco tourism.

Isla de Cerro de asseradores is also an island

45. Playa Asseradores is a small fishing town which hosts world class surfing.

46. Playa Aposentillo is a surf beach with dark sand.

47. Then to Playa Santa María del Mar which is a long stretch of sandy beach with some amazing beachfront properties

48. Playa El Manzano, has a long stretch of beaches.

49. Then up to the larger beach town of Jiquilillo, which has a rustic and unkempt charm. 

Estuary Padre Ramos which is a Nature Reserve and one of the largest mangrove estuaries left in Central America.

50. Skip up to Playa Mechapa which is a small beach town for fishing and ecotourism.

That brings us to the end of the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua and to the Cosigüina Volcano which is located in the Gulf of Fonseca, neighboring El Salvador and Honduras.
