Surf Ranch San Juan del Sur was the first Surf Ranch resort. It sits inland at the edge of the jungle, between Playa Remanso and the town of San Juan del Sur, about 3 km from downtown. It is a place for pool days, a bit of adventure and plenty of downtime.
Rooms, villas and condos
Queen and Twin rooms sleep up to 2 guests and suit couples, friends or solo travelers. Condos sleep up to 4, with 2 queen beds and a private patio. Villas also sleep up to 4 and are set among tropical gardens with outdoor space to unwind.
What there is to do
Most days start and end at the pool. There is a waterslide, a swim-up bar and a restaurant, plus a water playground for kids with splash fountains and a tipping barrel. Around the grounds you will find a skatepark with bowls and ramps (skateboards and helmets can be rented onsite), a volleyball court, a gym, an open-air yoga space, a rock climbing wall, poolside cabanas, a jungle firepit and a rope swing. Massages can be arranged, just ask about availability. Climbing, rentals and some activities cost extra.

Surf lessons
We run surf lessons that include the shuttle to the beach, the board and the lesson itself. You can also put your room, lessons and meals together in a 3, 5 or 7 night Surf and Stay package.
Getting here
The resort is about 3 km from downtown San Juan del Sur. Parking is free and private, and the road is fine for any car. Airport transfers can be added as a paid extra. Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 12 pm.
